Yes, you read that right! Healthier, Shiner and Smooth looking hair may seem like a myth to some, but it shouldn’t! You also shouldn’t have to use hundred of products that contain chemicals and preservatives in order to obtain these results, that is why I’m going to be sharing on of go-to masks when my hair looks dull and sad.
I love this mask not only because I already have all the ingredients in my kitchen but also because it usually works wonders on my hair. You going to need two ingredients for making this mask, and I suggest you put on this mask when you gonna be at home for a while as it takes some time to get dry.
To make this mask, you will need:
- 1 egg ( You can increase the amount of eggs, depending on your hair length,I use 2 because my hair is longer)
- 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise
Beat these two ingredients together and then apply to dry hair. Leave on for about 45- 60 minutes. The mask will dry on your hair and that’s when you can wash it off with shampoo and conditioner.
Let me just break down the benefits of these two ingredients:
Egg:Egg yolk contains sulfur and this helps stimulate and nourish the scalp. The yolk contains fat and this helps to make your hair soft. Eggs are also extremely good for dry hair as they contain a lot of protein and the protein helps to nourish and allows your hair to shine.
Mayonnaise: Mayonnaise contains egg yolks, vinegar and oils which actually help to nourish and moisturize your hair. Because it contains an amino acid, it also helps with healthy hair growth. The vinegar inside the mayonnaise helps to seal in and maintain the color of your hair.
Now this may smell a little bit weird and it will feel even weirder but with all these benefits, why not try it? I mean what do you have to lose? Once you have washed your hair, it will feel like you have a new set of hair on your head. I promise! This mask will make your hair feel amazing, and it will look so much healthier, shinier and fuller. Your hair will be thanking you later!
If you do try this mask, let me know if works just as well for you as it does for me.
