This Product Literally Clears Acne Overnight!

Yes, you read it right! This little miracle in a bottle will clear away your acne while you sleep.

I discovered this little beauty called The Body Shop Tea Tree Anti- Imperfection Night Mask just as my acne was clearing and I wish I discovered it earlier; it literally would have saved my pockets so much money plus my face the misery that it had been endearing. I still had some acne on my face even though it was clearing up and I obviously wanted it to clear out much faster. I had heard some good reviews about this product, and I was curious to try it and see if it actually works it.

The Body Shop Tea Tree Night Mask Available at The Body Shop for R195,00

I love The Body Shop and I absolutely love the fact that their products are cruelty free. I haven’t really tried a night mask before, so I was extremely skeptical. The entire tea tree range was created for acne prone skin. Some of the ingredients of the mask include tea tree oil, obviously! and salicylic acid which works extremely well for blemished skin. Tea tree oil fights against the acne and the bacteria which then becomes on your face and it also helps reduces the level of acne break outs. Salicylic acid penetrates the skin thereby helping to clear clogged pores, keep oil at an arms length and also prevent any breakouts. Normally you will have to obtain these products separately, but The Body Shop just did the work for us in order to get amazing acne free skin!

The product comes in a pretty, little green glass bottle with a black lid. The product doesn’t really have a smell which is great, cos you really don’t want the smell of tea tree to be lingering around your pillow or bed sheets. The formula is kind of like gel and jelly like gelly, well I just made a new word! So the formula is gelly and feels a bit weird on your hand and skin but it kind of settles in. I usually apply it with a brush because I feel like using my hand, especially with all the germs around, can be unhygienic.

After applying the formula, it kinds of settles into the skin but doesn’t dry out completely. It also doesn’t feel tight on the skin and it actually feels pretty normal when you sleep with it.This formula works while you sleep; so you literally getting your beauty sleep and good skin while you sleep. I had quite a few pimples before I applied it, and when I woke up most of my pimples disappeared. No like it really disappear! If you have severe acne, then I suggest you use it for a few nights in order to obtain maximum results.

Product Review: The Body Shop Fresh Nude Foundation

It’s been a while since I last blogged or reviewed a product. So, here goes…

While I was out shopping recently, I was browsing through the skincare range of The Body Shop until this product caught my eye. It was a neat little bottle of foundation.

I’ve always loved The Body Shop skincare products, but I wasn’t too sure about their makeup range, although if they were putting in just as much effort into a makeup range the results would be amazing.

Although there was a tad bit of uncertainty in the back of my head, I thought, “Oh what the hell? The worst that could happen is that it doesn’t work as well as another foundation or doesn’t blend as well but then you can just mix it with another product.”

And well being the being that I am, I know that if it wasn’t according to my liking I would most likely mix with a whole bunch of other products till it came to my liking because makeup is expensive and you can’t just throw products away, especially if its still new.

I ended up buying it.

And to my amazement it exceeded my expectations. (Well, I didn’t have a lot of them anyways.)

The bottle was a tiny bit smaller then the usual foundation bottle, but it was quite neat and the foundation easily came out without creating a mess unlike other foundation bottles. I applied it with a brush and then used a damp beauty blender.

The foundation is a creamy formula, its extremely light weight although it can be buildable but it does feel like your natural skin on your face. I wore it the entire day to work and it felt amazing on my skin. It was also able to cover up everything include the redness around my nose which has become extremely visible lately. It covers all the redness and breakouts without it looking too fake. Its extremely natural and it does make your skin look good without you having to plaster on makeup. Its definitely durable and can last the entire day and night if it is set properly without it getting cakey.

I haven’t even mentioned the best part about this product; it doesn’t have the typical foundation smell but rather a really light, fresh scent and this fresh scent is left on your skin the entire day! I literally, cannot get enough of the smell its amazing!

For dewy, fresh and natural looking skin I would definitely recommend The Body Shop Fresh Nude Foundation.

My verdict: 4.2/5

P.S. I’d love to hear what you think about this product if you’ve tried it.
